The objective of the study is to analyze the relationship\nbetween quality management practices and performance of garment factories in\nYangon.Primary data is collected from the garment factories by questionnaires and\ninterview.Secondary data are collected from previous research paper, company\u0027s\nreports, internet websites and journals. The target population comprised of 238 total\nemployees in two selected garment factories and a sample size of 120 (50% ot\npopulation) respondents. In this study, descriptive method and Multiple Linear\nRegression were used to test objective.This study includes five dimensions of quality\nmanagement practices: leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, employee\nparticipation and process management. Firm performance is measured into three\nindicators: productivity, employee satisfaction and customer satisfactions. Among\nthem, leadership has more influence on productivity, customer satisfaction and\nemployee satisfaction. Leadership, strategic planning and process management have\ninfluence on employee satisfaction and leadership, employee participation have\ninfluence on customer satisfaction. The findings indicate that quality management\npractices had positive and significant effect on productivity of garment factories.\nQuality management practices were found to have a significant effect of employee\nsatisfaction and customer satisfaction. Although, quality management practices have\npositively and significant of each perfonnance indicators, it is necessary to suggest\nthat garment factories should provide quality management practices according to\nrespondents.The study suggest that the managsment should be committed to quality\nby providing strategic direction with respect to quality marragement practices, which\nshould be aligned to the firms\u0027 objectives.
