The objectives of the study are to\nidentify the current situation of consumer protection activities in Myanmar and to\ndetermine the factors influencing to perception on consumer protection. In this study,\n200 respondents are asked to collect the data. Their responses are gathered through\nface-to-face interviews and questionnaire surveys with a self-administered\nquestionnaire. It is found that most respondents get the information for consumer\nprotection from newspapers. It is also found that the overall mean values of consumer\nrights, entrepreneur responsibilities and grantee of goods for consumer protection are\nat the strongly agree levels of customers and consumer responsibilities is at the agree\nlevels of customers. Department of Consumer Affair mainly serves for consumer\nprotection. The results say that there are many problems for foods, other products and\nservices. Therefore, respective organizations and people should ensure the policy and\nplans to protect public from those problems.
