Radiation protection is the science and practice of protecting people\nand the environment from the harmful effects of ionizing radiation. In this research, the\nanalysis of gamma ray dose rate with time changes in aluminum and staying time were\ndetermined at Nuclear Physics Laboratory. The detector was used NaI (Tl) scintillation\ndetector with gamma ray sources of 137Cs and 60Co of activity 1μCi. It was found that longer\ndetection time is increased in average intensities. Then the comparison of dose rate and\nstay time for different gamma energies can be seen that more dose rate values of high\nenergy in medium have less stay time and the safety limit of time taken for 137Cs has about\n30 minutes and 60Co has about 20 minutes. From this experiment, the uses of all radioactive\nsources have activity of about 1 μCi.
