The objective of the research is to identify local farmer's\nperception on climate change and to find their adaptation system in accordance with\nclimate change. Four villages in Pakokku Township of Dry Zone were selected as\nsample study area by using simple random sampling and data were collected with\n260farmers of total population 3470 from 4villages by using a structured\nquestionnaire and analyzed using descriptive statistics. The results state that the\nfarmers perceive the causes of climate change are increasing in temperature,\ndecreasing rainfall pattern, increasing unpredictable weather conditions, severe heat\nand drought because of being deforestation, human behaviors and natural causes.\nFarmers understand the causes of climate change a little in general and they have no\nspecific weather information. Perception of climate change and adaptation to climatechange\nhas positive relationship; if farmers understand the changes well, can choose\nthe suitable adaptation strategies in accordance with changes. Thus, this study highly\nrecommended that to perform climate-related educational program and share\nappropriate adaptation strategies by the government and relevant organizations (either\ninternal or external) to adapt the next coming changes and its impacts."}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2022-10-20"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Khin Thazin, MPA-15,19Bt..pdf","filesize":[{"value":"607 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/8325/files/Khin Thazin, MPA-15,19Bt..pdf"},"version_id":"e6f50ab4-29f9-41b0-9dae-e2156de06941"}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"Yangon University of Economics","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":"Daw N Khum Ja Ra"}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Khin Thazin"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Other"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2022-07-01"},"item_title":"A Study on Farmer's Perception and Adaptation to Climate Change in Dry Zone ( A Case Study in Pakokku Township)","item_type_id":"21","owner":"20","path":["1582965722087"],"publish_date":"2022-10-20","publish_status":"0","recid":"8325","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["A Study on Farmer's Perception and Adaptation to Climate Change in Dry Zone ( A Case Study in Pakokku Township)"],"weko_creator_id":"20","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2022-10-20T04:39:33.888674+00:00"}
