In this thesis, the status of disability \nin Myanmar is studied with the aims to study the types of disabled persons by urban, \nrural, states and regions, and the Disability-Free Life Expectancy (DFLE) of people in \nMyanmar. Based on the findings, the male disabled population is higher than the female \ndisabled population, for the younger age-group. But the female disabled population is \ngreater than the male disabled population for the elderly age-group. When the disabled \npeople by sex in urban and rural areas are compared, both male disabled population and \nfemale disabled population in urban areas are less than those in rural areas. \nFurthermore, the disabled persons in seeing, walking, remembering, and hearing can be\nfound in both urban and rural areas. Besides, it is observed that people with mild level \nof disability in all age-groups, in all states and regions, in both urban and rural areas, \nand literate people with mild level of disability are more than people with other levels \nof disabilities. Generally, when the percentages of life-spent disability-free of males \nand females are analyzed, it is observed that females in all age-groups are expected to \nbe likely to be more disabled than males in all age-groups because the percentages of \nlife-spent disability-free of males are more than the percentages of life-spent disabilityfree of females."}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2022-01-18"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Saw Thandar Win, MPS 4.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"1.4 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/8163/files/Saw Thandar Win, MPS 4.pdf"},"version_id":"d05555c2-865d-4070-a639-e08f561dc673"}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"Yangon University of Economics","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":"Daw Khin Nu Win"}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Saw Thandar Win"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Other"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2021-01-01"},"item_title":"Status of Disability in Myanmar (Saw Thandar Win, 2021)","item_type_id":"21","owner":"21","path":["1582963436320","1709021815397"],"publish_date":"2022-01-18","publish_status":"0","recid":"8163","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Status of Disability in Myanmar (Saw Thandar Win, 2021)"],"weko_creator_id":"21","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-02-28T08:15:05.876540+00:00"}
