Five bacterial species were isolated. The bacterial species were identified by their cellular characteristics, colonial morphology and biochemical tests. Most antibiotic used today are isolated and extracted from microbial sources. In the present study, antibiotic producing bacteria were isolated from a local soil sample collected from the soil of Meiktila University Campus. The study area were selected and soil samples were collected from different parts at 6”depth. Antibiotic is one of the most important commercially exploited secondary metabolites produced by bacteria and employed in a wide range. Most of the antibiotics used today are from the microbes. Bacteria are easy to isolate, culture, maintain and to improve their strain. In the present research study, soil bacteria with the antibiotic activity was screened and isolated. The media used in this research was nutrient agar medium by serial dilution method. In finding out their biological properties, five test organisms were used to study the presence of antimicrobial activities. Isolated TM-5 showed high antibacterial activity."}]},"item_1583103108160":{"attribute_name":"Keywords","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Soil bacteria"},{"interim":"Antimicrobial activity"},{"interim":"Meiktla University"}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2021-01-28"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Thida Myint, Dr.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"28.7 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/7875/files/Thida Myint, Dr.pdf"},"version_id":"8f7ab6a6-b2cb-42cf-a76c-fb27b6ce088b"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_issue":"I","subitem_journal_title":"Meiktila University Research Journal, 2020, Vol. XI, No.1","subitem_pages":"334-339","subitem_volume":"XI"}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Thida Myint, Dr"},{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Myint Myint Than , Dr"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Publication"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Journal article"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2020-08-31"},"item_title":"STUDY ON ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM THE SOIL OF MEIKTILA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS","item_type_id":"21","owner":"183","path":["1608242063591","1608715550695"],"publish_date":"2021-01-28","publish_status":"0","recid":"7875","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["STUDY ON ANTIMICROBIAL ACTIVITY OF BACTERIA ISOLATED FROM THE SOIL OF MEIKTILA UNIVERSITY CAMPUS"],"weko_creator_id":"183","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2021-12-13T00:40:40.834236+00:00"}
