Students sometimes have some difficulties in understanding a text, therefore, they fail in answering to the comprehension questions. The present study aims at investigating the relationship between discourse markers and reading comprehension in second language (L2) and FL teaching and learning process. Later, it provides some motivational activities for the teaching of discourse markers.
