Primary data are collected in Myanmar to highlight the current level of two villages through a survey on  The findings from the survey reveal that New Village Movement in Myanmar is weak in participation of local people, the effort of village leaders, presence of incentive scheme for the development, spiritual reform and vision and commitment of local people.
