We address\nthe question of whether data-driven function tag\nassignment method can be applied to Myanmar\nlanguage. We assign function tags directly basing on\nlexical information, which is easily scalable for\nlanguages that lack sufficient parsing resources or\nhave inherent linguistic challenges for parsing. We\ninvestigate a supervised sequence learning method to\nautomatically recognize function tags.
