Mandalay Neo Five-Factor Inventory (Ye War Myint, 2013), Magway Generalized Self-Efficacy Scale (MgGSES) developed by Than Than Maw and May Thaw Htet (2011), and a Myanmar Version of the Workaholism Scale for general employees’ population developed by Than Than Maw and Khattar Han (2014) were used. Data were collected from 275 employees in a variety of occupational sectors: Health, Education, General Administration Department, and Pharmaceutical Company. The analysis showed that personality factors were significantly related to all three workaholism components developed by Spence and Robbins (1992) (work involvement, work drive and enjoyment of work) controlling for both personal demographic and work situation characteristics. Conscientiousness was positively related to all three workaholism components. Neuroticism was positively related to driven to work and negatively related to enjoyment of work, while extraversion was negatively related to drive and positively related to enjoyment. Openness to experience was positively related to enjoyment of work. General self-efficacy was positively related to enjoyment of work. Basing on the measures of these six personality factors related to workaholism, employers can better predict workaholic tendencies during recruitment and selection."}]},"item_1583103108160":{"attribute_name":"Keywords","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Personality traits"}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-05-05"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERSONALITY TRAITS.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"213 Kb"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/671/files/A STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN PERSONALITY TRAITS.pdf"},"version_id":"a066e577-1182-455f-9242-0f8b65d061a3"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_journal_title":"Mandalay University Research Journal","subitem_volume":"7"}]},"item_1583103147082":{"attribute_name":"Conference papaers","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_1583103211336":{"attribute_name":"Books/reports/chapters","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_supervisor(s)":[]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Yin Yin Lin"},{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Khin Mar Mar"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Publication"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Journal article"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2016"},"item_1583159847033":{"attribute_name":"Identifier","attribute_value":"https://umoar.mu.edu.mm/handle/123456789/260"},"item_title":"A Study on the Relationship between Personality Trails and Workaholism Components","item_type_id":"21","owner":"1","path":["1582966946861"],"publish_date":"2020-03-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"671","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["A Study on the Relationship between Personality Trails and Workaholism Components"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2021-12-13T00:51:56.926687+00:00"}
