Unplanned\ndowntime is mainly caused by software failure\ndue to software aging rather than hardware failure.\nPreventive maintenance (software rejuvenation)\nis used to counteract the software aging\nphenomenon. In this paper, we propose preventive\nmaintenance model for virtualized local disaster\nrecovery plan through a stochastic Petri net\nmodel. In the proposed model, active-standby\nvirtualized clustering architecture is employed.\nWe analyze how preventive maintenance can\nimprove the system availability of virtualized\nlocal disaster recovery plan.
