Both descriptive and inferential statistics such as multiple linear regression and path analysis are used to analyze quantitative data. In terms of method, 87 samples of youth entrepreneurs were selected by simple random sampling method from the target population of 657, which are registered with Myanmar Young Entrepreneurs Association (MYEA).The study used primary data collected by use of questionnaires. The research indicated that entrepreneurial characteristics of the entrepreneurs influence on the sustainability of youth-owned enterprises in Myanmar. This study stated that family background has negatively influenced on the number of employees of youth-owned enterprises. Access to finance has negatively influenced on the innovation of youth-owned enterprises. Market access has influenced on the sustainability of youth-owned enterprises. This study also found that social sustainability practices not only mediate between the individual factors and sustainability of youth-owned enterprises but also mediate between organizational factors and sustainability of youth-owned enterprises. Since the success of youth entrepreneurs’ enterprises mainly depends on their entrepreneur characteristics, public policy makers and education providers should nurture the entrepreneurial characteristics of youths and focus mainly on the sets of skills needed by the private sector. This study recommends that youth entrepreneurs should take the business experiences, physical and financial supporting from their family to sustain their enterprises. In addition, the study recommends that financial institutions should increase the loan repayment period, reduce the interest rate and modify the credit policy to pay the loan without collateral. Given the importance of market access for sustainability, youth entrepreneurs need to acquire and equip with those marketing skills by attending marketing training programs or attending internship programme at experienced marketing organization. Youth entrepreneurs should use marketing plan for running their enterprises, social media to share their business information, and promotion and advertising of their products and services. This study also recommends that youth entrepreneurs should adopt the social sustainability practices to improve the economic status of the enterprises in terms of profitability, investment and innovation. \n\n\n\n\nThis study aims to investigate the individual factors and organizational factors influencing the sustainability of youth-owned enterprises in Myanmar and the mediation effect of social and environmental sustainability practices on the links between individual factors, organizational factors and sustainability of youth-owned enterprises.
