A  total  of  220student-teachers in Sagaing  University  of  Education participated  in  this  study.    Descriptive research design and survey method were used.  As the instrument of this research,Reasoning   Skills   Test   (RST)   was   used   to   examine   the participants’  reasoning  skills.  The  test was developed by  using  Item Response  Test Theory (IRT). According to the  research  findings, it  was found  that student-teachers  were higher  in  deductive  reasoning  than inductive reasoning. Moreover, the result pointed out that girls had more deductive  reasoning skill than boys.  Again, the  reasoning skill of  fourth year student-teachers was significantly higher than those of first year and fifth year student-teachers at  0.05 level. Moreover, second year student-teachers’  reasoning  skill  was  also  significantly  higher  than that  of  fifth year student-teachers.This research hopes that the results from this study will  be  able  to  contribute  to  background  factors  in  creating  effective teaching learning environment,especially in teacher education."}]},"item_1583103108160":{"attribute_name":"Keywords","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Reasoning skills"},{"interim":"Inductive"},{"interim":"Deductive"},{"interim":"Item Response Theory"}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-09-17"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"URJ 2017.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"244 Kb"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/5442/files/URJ 2017.pdf"},"version_id":"45d00a4c-4a92-4f2a-9120-5fffa007c0c5"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_issue":"8","subitem_journal_title":"Universities Research Journal","subitem_pages":"177-195","subitem_volume":"10"}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Yar Zar Chit"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Publication"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Journal article"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2017-08-01"},"item_title":"Measuring the Reasoning Skills of Student-teachers from Sagaing University of Education","item_type_id":"21","owner":"87","path":["1597762186593"],"publish_date":"2020-09-17","publish_status":"0","recid":"5442","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Measuring the Reasoning Skills of Student-teachers from Sagaing University of Education"],"weko_creator_id":"87","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2021-12-13T00:27:42.080906+00:00"}
