High resolution HPGe dector and high efficiency NaI (Tl)\ndetector were used to detect gamma ray histogram in -ray spectroscopy. By using parameteres\nof reaction, specific activity and elemental content of chemical compound were evaluated and\ncompared with the actual content. The data agreed well with each other within experimental\nlimits. The total cross - section of 23Na (n,)\n20 F is very well agree with the evaluated nuclear\ndata of JENDL - FF and SCINCROS II calculation and other data of SS - Nargolwalla with error\nbars. In EDXRF method, it was found that the major element is sodium only. But the elements of\nSulphur (S), Strontium (Sr), Mercury (Hg), Lead (Pb), Arsenic (As) and Scandium (Sc), which\nare known as toxic elements, were not found in this sample.
