Content Based Image Retrieval (CBIR) isa one of the image retrieval technique which usesuser visual features of an image such as color,shape, and texture features etc. This system presentsthe combination of the three visual contents featuresi.e. color, texture and shape information to achievehigher retrieve efficiency. Color features areextracted by using HSV (Hue-Saturation-Value)color histogram and Gray Level Co-occurrencematrix (GLCM) calculates the feature vector fortexture. Canny edge detection algorithm is used foredge detection to calculate the feature vector for theshape. The system developed an algorithm whichincorporates all three features such as color, textureand shape to improve the performance of retrievalof images.
