Thiswork mainly deals with the automated obstacleavoidance (AOA) system of this paper by usingPeripheral Interface Controller (PIC) 16F877Amicrocontroller that is implemented to design forAOA system and it is simply evaluated on PIC.Five Ultrasonic Distance Sensors used in thissystem, they are located on the car vehicle andPIC is operated according to the received sensor’ssignal to find the obstacles. The position of theobstacle accepted from the sensor sends tomicrocontroller as an input and then, thismicrocontroller controls the speed of DC motormounted on car vehicle by using pulse-widthmodulation (PWM). Other DC motor changes thedirection of car vehicle when any obstacle isdetected by sensors. Proteus software was used forimplementing obstacle avoidance system as asimulation.
