The SDN controllerperforms all complex functions, including routingand security checks. Segment Routing is a newemerging technology that enables source routing.Segment Routing (SR) technology can enablenetworks to achieve scalable SDN and trafficengineering solutions. The problem of computingbandwidth guaranteed paths for given flow requestsis a challenge. This proposed system presents fastrerouting algorithm exploiting the link or nodefailure to compute the optimal backup path (activebackup path). In this system, failure in network linkor node is detected by using the Open Flow switchesand recomputed the new optimal path using fastreroute with segment routing.
