In this paper, multimedia documentssegmentation and document’s features classificationis presented. Multimedia documents usually consistof a mixture of text, graphic, and image. One-scanrun-length smearing algorithm with block merging isemphasized for document segmentation task. Thissmearing algorithm is a document page segmentationalgorithm using a bottom-up approach. Documentclassification task is performed based on features oftext, graphic and image.
