In order to solve this problem, traffic congestionstates of road networks are estimated so that the best optimal route can be set to avoidthe congestions. In this system, the real time traffic congestion states of users` desiredbetween source and destination are estimated and the results presented in Google Map.The historical GPS data of each road network on each time using the collected data areutilized in this research. The proposed system aims to analyze and avoid trafficcongestions and get optimal route with modified A* algorithm, also called RoutingPattern Algorithm. This includes the run-time traffic data from mobile with GPS andhistorical data in the database.This is the android application to solve the traffic complexing on the roads inYangon. It helps the people driving and travelling easily on the routes through themobile phones. Location Based Service is implemented in the system firstly and GlobalPositioning System is recommended in this work. The system is to analyze and monitortraffic congestion with Geographical Information System and using GPS data for PublicTransport Planning in Yangon, Myanmar. This system provides the accurate map ofmore efficient estimation results for traffic state from GPS data and saving more timeother.The establishment of centralized GPS Server database infrastructure gives anykinds of analysis requiring the stored GPS traffic data in a distributed client-serverenvironment. In this system, the efficient traffic congestion statement for users` desiredbetween source and destination are estimated and the results presented with Map. Ittakes the GPS data (current location) and searching area of user by K-d tree andHaversine algorithm. Secondly, search the traffic congestion data by Google Trafficlayer and Routing Pattern Algorithm. Finally, Analysis the traffic by Routing PatternAlgorithm (modified-A*) and then show the result of traffic congestion statement andbest optimal route. In the case, there are three main components: Data Collection, DataExtraction and Implementation. And this is Client-Server database system that storesthe data and server in the cloud Virtual Machine (VM) that also called droplet. Thedroplet is a type of cloud database and this can be ordered and used for any projects.iiiThese estimated traffic probabilities states are presented by coloring (traffic jamfor red, traffic normal for orange and traffic light for green) users’ desired source anddestination road segments on Google Map. The estimating system has been evaluatedby using dataset generated by collect data from mobile phone-equipped vehicles overa period of one year in Yangon."}]},"item_1583103108160":{"attribute_name":"Keywords","attribute_value":[]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-02-20"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"NyeinChanSoe_ThesisBook 10thPh.d-26.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"4075 Kb"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/4574/files/NyeinChanSoe_ThesisBook 10thPh.d-26.pdf"},"version_id":"f0971f82-756c-41b3-9f14-9e47e5daeb7a"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_issue":"","subitem_journal_title":"","subitem_pages":"","subitem_volume":""}]},"item_1583103147082":{"attribute_name":"Conference papers","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_acronym":"","subitem_c_date":"","subitem_conference_title":"","subitem_part":"","subitem_place":"","subitem_session":"","subitem_website":""}]},"item_1583103211336":{"attribute_name":"Books/reports/chapters","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_book_title":"","subitem_isbn":"","subitem_pages":"","subitem_place":"","subitem_publisher":""}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"University of Computer Studies, Yangon","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":""}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Soe, Nyein Chan"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Publication"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2020-01"},"item_1583159847033":{"attribute_name":"Identifier","attribute_value":"http://onlineresource.ucsy.edu.mm/handle/123456789/2494"},"item_title":"An Efficient Method of Avoiding Traffic Congestion and Optimal Routing (ATCOR) System in Yangon","item_type_id":"21","owner":"1","path":["1597824322519"],"publish_date":"2020-02-20","publish_status":"0","recid":"4574","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["An Efficient Method of Avoiding Traffic Congestion and Optimal Routing (ATCOR) System in Yangon"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2022-03-24T23:12:40.374588+00:00"}
