Pairwise sequence alignmentis concerned with comparing two Protein or DNAsequences - finding the global and local “optimumalignment” of the two sequences. Multiple sequencealignment (MSA) is a key step in elucidatingevolutionary relationships, annotating newlysequenced segments, and understanding therelationship between biological sequences. So,pairwise alignment algorithm for protein sequences isproposed.
