Therefore, in this paper,an automatic image segmentation method for naturalimages is proposed. The proposed system includesthree approaches: gradient computation with themodified LoG edge filter, marker-controlled watershedsegmentation(MCWS) with automatically markerselection and region mergingapproach that is based onedge strength and homogeneous intensity.
