Existing XMLfiltering techniques based on apublish/subscribe model on highly structureddata marked up with XML tags. Thesetechniques are efficient in filtering thedocuments of data centric XML but are noteffective in filtering value-based predicates ofdocument centric XML. In this paper, wepropose a technique which does semanticmatching of XML data and also handles valuebasedpredicates. User Profiles are specified asXPath Twig queries. A query node is checked inOWL classes, if a node is found it is returnedwith its semantically related data. On the otherhand, incoming XML document is parsed bySAX parser and a tree is built.
