Gills of Hilsa ilisha\r and Clarias batachus are heterogeneous in nature, the length and number of filaments\r decreasing gradually from first to fourth gill arch. But in the Labeo rohtia the gills are\r homogenous and have almost the same number of filaments of same length on each gill arch.\r Labeo rohita had the largest number and size of gill filaments while the largest number of gill\r raker was recorded in Hilsa ilisha. Hilsa ilisha shows one of the characteristics of the plankton\r feeder, Labeo rohita include herbivorous fish. When compared with those of the plankton\r feeders and herbivores, gill filaments of Clarias batrachus are mores shorter and more stout\r therefore its possess the carnivorous fish character. In growth type, Hilsa ilisha was positive\r allometric and Labeo rohita and Clarias batrachus were negative allometric. The relationship\r between the fish dimension and gill dimension are show lowest to highest correlation coefficient\r and their values range from 0.05 to 0.97. The total filaments length of Labeo rohita and Clarias\r batrachus were significantly affected by it body weight. The morphometric and features of the\r gills of the 3 species were found to be dependent on the level of activity of the fish. Hilsa ilisha\r and Labeo rohita are more active swimmer and Clarias batrachus is more sluggish forms,\r occupying, benthic zones. Therefore, it is concluded that in this study, a clear relationship exist\r between the gill dimensions and presumed activity of the fish and also their habitat."}]},"item_1583103108160":{"attribute_name":"Keywords","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"heterogeneous"}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-05-05"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Aym Aung.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"462 Kb"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/410/files/Aym Aung.pdf"},"version_id":"78c21b1a-49d6-49cc-8dd9-ca026eb779f6"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_issue":"1","subitem_journal_title":"Yadanabon University Research Journal","subitem_volume":"8"}]},"item_1583103147082":{"attribute_name":"Conference papaers","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_1583103211336":{"attribute_name":"Books/reports/chapters","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_supervisor(s)":[]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Dr.Amy Aung"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Publication"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Journal article"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2017"},"item_1583159847033":{"attribute_name":"Identifier","attribute_value":"https://oar.ydbu.edu.mm/handle/123456789/209"},"item_title":"Comparative study on the Gill Morphology of Hilsa Ilisha, Labeo Rohita and Clarias Batrachus from Taungthaman Lake","item_type_id":"21","owner":"1","path":["1582966534853"],"publish_date":"2020-03-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"410","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Comparative study on the Gill Morphology of Hilsa Ilisha, Labeo Rohita and Clarias Batrachus from Taungthaman Lake"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2021-12-13T02:21:12.401491+00:00"}
