In order to solve this problem,traffic congestion states of road networks areestimated so that congested road can be avoided andset the best optimal route. In this system, the realtime traffic congestion states of users` desiredbetween source and destination are estimated andpresented the results in Google Map. GPS data frommobile phones on vehicles are used to get the realtime data while using the system. The historicaltraffic condition data of each road network on eachtime using the collected data are utilized in thisresearch. In this paper the system is to analyze andavoid traffic congestions and get optimal route withmodified A* algorithm, also called Smart-A*. Thisincludes the run-time traffic data from GPS enabledmobile and historical data in the database. In thesystem firstly, we take the GPS data (currentlocation) and searching area and extracting geo-databetween source and destination points of user by K-dtree. Second, search the traffic congestion data inthat area by Google Traffic layer.
