Word SenseDisambiguation (WSD) is regarded as one of themost interesting and longest-standing problems inNLP. Several methodological issues come up withthe context of WSD. These are supervised vs.unsupervised WSD approaches. Supervised WSDapproaches have obtained better results thanunsupervised WSD approaches. Naïve BayesianWSD approach is one of the best supervised WSDapproaches. This paper presents a corpus-basedapproach that uses Naïve Bayesian Classification todisambiguate ambiguous words with part-of-speech‘noun’, which uses topical feature that represent cooccurringwords in bag-of-word feature. This systemalso uses Senseval-3 corpus as a training data forNaïve Bayesian Classification, and access Word Netfor retrieving meaning of the resulted senses.
