The present study deals with analyses of genetic diversity and polymorphisms as well as species relationships among the nine banana varieties. A wild banana variety and eight cultivars were based on their DNA finger prints by using PBA (Cytochrome P450 Based Analogues) molecular markers. PBA profiling was conducted in nine banana varieties using eleven primer sets which could be amplified the reproducible bands. The size of amplified products were varied from 350pb to 2700bp.
