The study focused on key \nbehavioral determinants, including fraud awareness, perceived risk, institutional trust, and \nself-efficacy, and analyzed their impact on customer fraud prevention behavior. The \nresearch framework integrated Protection Motivation Theory, the Knowledge–Attitude\nBehavior model, and the Technology Acceptance Model. Quantitative research methods \nwere applied in this study. The target population comprised active digital banking users of \nYoma Bank; from a total population of 5,500 users, a sample of 373 respondents was \nselected. Primary data were collected using structured questionnaires and were analyzed \nusing descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, and multiple regression analysis. The \nfindings revealed that perceived risk demonstrated the strongest influence on customer \nfraud prevention behavior. Institutional trust and fraud awareness also had positive and \nstatistically significant effects, whereas self-efficacy showed a positive correlation without \nhaving a statistically significant direct impact in the regression model. Based on the \nfindings, the study recommended that Yoma Bank focus on strengthening customer risk \nconsciousness through regular fraud alerts and real-life case sharing. It further suggested \nenhancing transparency and education programs to reinforce institutional trust. \nStrengthening these factors was expected to empower customers to act as an effective \n“human firewall” and enhance the overall security of the digital banking ecosystem."}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2026-08-21"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"AUNG PHYO KO KO.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"70 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/13009/files/AUNG PHYO KO KO.pdf"},"version_id":"f578f8ea-8fe2-4822-8a63-14f9bae34303"}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"Yangon University of Economics","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":"Dr. Chaw Su Aung"}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Aung Phyo Ko Ko"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Other"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2026-01-01"},"item_title":"Factors Affecting Customer Fraud Prevention Behavior at Yoma bank(Aung Phyo Ko Ko, 2026)","item_type_id":"21","owner":"20","path":["1582963436320","1582965701379"],"publish_date":"2026-08-21","publish_status":"0","recid":"13009","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Factors Affecting Customer Fraud Prevention Behavior at Yoma bank(Aung Phyo Ko Ko, 2026)"],"weko_creator_id":"20","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2026-08-21T07:59:16.430158+00:00"}
