To harness unexploited resources the first step is to prevent them from extinction and to conserve them in and/or ex-situ. To utilize plant species as crops, plant must be collected, conserved, evaluated and then if necessary manipulated. In this context, significant international efforts\r have focused on impeding the erosion of genetic diversity.\r Thousands of new accessions are introduced into germplasm institutes each year. Assessment of their molecular diversity is necessary to eliminate redundant genotypes. Marker systems have been used not only for genotyping to reduce redundancy and develop a core set, but also for a wide variety of other purposes. The use of markers based on single nucleotide polymorphisms, copy number variation, and insertions/deletions, as well as genotyping by sequencing, is becoming popular for\r genetic mapping and analyses of quantitative trait loci. This review discusses current marker systems and genomic analyses of a number of underutilized crops."}]},"item_1583103108160":{"attribute_name":"Keywords","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"GBS"}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-05-05"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"MKT, UUC genomics Review Moe et al 2012 Sept.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"685 Kb"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_note","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/126/files/MKT, UUC genomics Review Moe et al 2012 Sept.pdf"},"version_id":"09b3a728-7181-409a-942e-eb86201612e4"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_journal_title":"Genes & Genomics","subitem_volume":"34"}]},"item_1583103147082":{"attribute_name":"Conference papaers","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_1583103211336":{"attribute_name":"Books/reports/chapters","attribute_value_mlt":[{}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_supervisor(s)":[]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Moe Kyaw Thu"},{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Soon-Wook Kwon"},{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Yong-Jin Park"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Publication"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Journal article"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2012-10"},"item_1583159847033":{"attribute_name":"Identifier","attribute_value":"https://yauor-yau.archive.knowledgearc.net/handle/123456789/75"},"item_title":"Trends in genomics and molecular marker systems for the\r development of some underutilized crops","item_type_id":"21","owner":"1","path":["1582969313627"],"publish_date":"2020-03-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"126","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["Trends in genomics and molecular marker systems for the\r development of some underutilized crops"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2021-12-13T03:11:26.251577+00:00"}
