By employing quantitative research method, the\nstudy attempts to achieve this objective. Primary data was collected through structured\nquestionnaires distributed to 92 respondents selected through simple random sampling\nfrom employees working in the Corporate Banking, SME Banking, and Consumer\nBanking departments of uab Bank. The study found that most employees have a high\nperception of the loan portfolio management practices. According to the regression\nanalysis, loan portfolio management had a significant effect on the financial\nperformance of uab Bank. Among the practices, credit risk management had the largest\neffect, followed by loan portfolio planning, loan monitoring, and loan appraisal in\nimproving financial performance.
