Maternal health\r is a very important determinant of familial, educational, economic, and environmental\r development. One key to maternal health is family planning, which can empower\r women to fulfill their familial and community roles. Family planning through\r contraception offers women the opportunity to gain time between childbirths by\r deciding when to get pregnant in relation to their other life obligations. Having fewer\r children and spacing out births offers women and children a better quality of life and\r an opportunity to be more productive members of their communities. The use of long\r acting reversible methods of contraception (LARCs) has not kept step with that of shortacting\r methods such as oral pills and injectable in Myanmar. Despite its wider benefits\r and access at the community level, long-acting reversible and permanent methods of\r contraception are among the underutilized services and are thought to be influenced by\r misconceptions and socio-cultural values. This study aimed to explore awareness,\r attitudes, perceptions, myths, misconceptions of women and barriers to using longacting\r reversible contraception in users of short-term methods, to inform those\r responsible for implementing the program such as policy makers and planners to\r develop and/or improve appropriate interventions to increase contraceptive use which\r ultimately improve women’s health."}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2020-05-05"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Htet Wai Maung (EMPA - 13).pdf","filesize":[{"value":"3507 Kb"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/1179/files/Htet Wai Maung (EMPA - 13).pdf"},"version_id":"8967f2c6-ebad-41af-8abe-9b102bbf7680"}]},"item_1583103131163":{"attribute_name":"Journal articles","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_journal_title":"Yangon University of Economics"}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"Yangon University of Economics","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":"Daw Yin Lei Win Swe"}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Htet Wai Maung (EMPA - 13)"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Other"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2019-12-01"},"item_title":"BARRIERS TO CONTRACEPTIVE METHOD SWITCHING AMONG WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE GROUP (Case Study: Selected Villages in Kalay Township) (Htet Wai Maung, 2019)","item_type_id":"21","owner":"1","path":["1582963436320","1582965722087"],"publish_date":"2020-03-05","publish_status":"0","recid":"1179","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["BARRIERS TO CONTRACEPTIVE METHOD SWITCHING AMONG WOMEN OF REPRODUCTIVE AGE GROUP (Case Study: Selected Villages in Kalay Township) (Htet Wai Maung, 2019)"],"weko_creator_id":"1","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2024-04-23T08:39:49.048360+00:00"}
