The main purpose is to examine how these personal\ncharacteristics influence employability among young people working in the retail\nsector. A total of 153 young retail employees took part in the study, and data were\ncollected through structured questionnaires. A quantitative research method was used,\nand the results were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-tests, and one-way\nANOVA. The findings show that work experience has the strongest influence on\nyouth employability, followed by age and education level. Respondents with more\nyears of work experience and higher education levels showed higher employability\nscores. Older youth also had higher employability compared to younger age groups.\nGender also played a role, with female respondents reporting slightly higher\nemployability than males. Based on the results, the study suggests increasing\nopportunities for young people to gain work experience through internships, part-time\njobs, or training programs. It also recommends improving education and skills\ntraining related to retail work. Promoting equal employment opportunities for both\nmale and female workers can also help strengthen employability. These actions can\nsupport youth participation in the retail job market and help develop a more capable\nand inclusive workforce in Yangon."}]},"item_1583103120197":{"attribute_name":"Files","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_access","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2025-09-29"}],"displaytype":"preview","filename":"Wutyi Phoo, MDevS-53,18th Batch (31-7-2025).pdf","filesize":[{"value":"510 KB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_0","url":{"url":"https://meral.edu.mm/record/11647/files/Wutyi Phoo, MDevS-53,18th Batch (31-7-2025).pdf"},"version_id":"dfa691a6-dd2d-4996-9223-e8a36bc7056f"}]},"item_1583103233624":{"attribute_name":"Thesis/dissertations","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_awarding_university":"Yangon University of Economics","subitem_supervisor(s)":[{"subitem_supervisor":"Daw Pyae Phyo Lwin"}]}]},"item_1583105942107":{"attribute_name":"Authors","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_authors":[{"subitem_authors_fullname":"Wutyi Phoo"}]}]},"item_1583108359239":{"attribute_name":"Upload type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Other"}]},"item_1583108428133":{"attribute_name":"Publication type","attribute_value_mlt":[{"interim":"Thesis"}]},"item_1583159729339":{"attribute_name":"Publication date","attribute_value":"2025-06-01"},"item_title":"A Study on Employability Among Demographic Factors of Youth (Case Study: Selected Retail Business in Yangon Region (Wutyi Phoo, 2025)","item_type_id":"21","owner":"20","path":["1582963436320","1582965681303"],"publish_date":"2025-09-29","publish_status":"0","recid":"11647","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["A Study on Employability Among Demographic Factors of Youth (Case Study: Selected Retail Business in Yangon Region (Wutyi Phoo, 2025)"],"weko_creator_id":"20","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2025-09-29T08:59:24.564751+00:00"}
