This thesis is mainly focusing on mangrove forest conservation practices in Myanmar. The objective of the study is to examine the knowledge on current status of mangrove forest conservation in Rakhine state by using descriptive method. The thesis finding shows that successful mangrove forest conservation activities directly and indirectly relate to the people's performance. Costal people in Myanmar are mostly using electricity and wood for cooking everyday although they were completely dependent on mangrove forest products such as charcoal and firewood. There is less dependent on mangrove forest products for construction. One important sustainable mangrove forest conservation practice is to fulfill the needs of local people through a sufficient daily living system and secure life style.
