To know the knowledge and practices of slum \ndwellers, primary data were collected from a sample of 225 residents of several slums \nin Dagon Seik Kan Township, using a simple random sampling method. The findings \nreveal a significant gap in effective hygiene practices and limited access to essential \nsanitation resources. Most participants demonstrated awareness of basic hygiene \nconcepts, but practical application was limited by poor infrastructure. This is often \nhindered by factors such as economic constraints and lack of educational resources. The \nstudy highlights the need for targeted educational interventions and improved sanitation \ninfrastructure to improve public health outcomes in slums.
