Rule-based Consciousness Expert System by Abhidhamma model with Forward Chaining Technique Htay, Hsu Myat Oo, Khine Khine The Abhidhamma is one of the three parts ofthe Pali cannon, the Tipitaka, the main texts ofTheravada Buddhism and is sometimes describedas ‘Buddhist Psychology’ [2]. Human mind isconsciousness (citta) and mental factors(cetasikas) and there are 54 types ofconsciousness in sensual plane in Abhidhamma.Along with any consciousness, there arise certainmental constituents which are called cetasikas ormental factors, like love, hate, anger, disgust,disappointment, etc. This paper researches intothe classification of human mind based onconsciousness in Abhidhamma by mean of forwardchaining technique. Consciousness Expert Systemis developed as rule-based expert. Theconsciousness in Abhidhamma are structured andtransformed as rules to be represented asAbhidhamma knowledge-base.
