Duration Control System for Construction Project Using PERT
Myint, Khine Pa Pa
Tun, Khin Mo Mo
The Program Evaluation and ReviewTechnique (PERT) has been widely used as a toolfor project management. In PERT analysis, theactivity time distribution is assumed to be a betadistribution, and the mean and variance of theactivity time are estimated. These support thecritical path and the probability of the wholeproject. With the information of mean and varianceof critical path, which is assumed as normallydistributed, the probability of completion of aproject with specified dates can compute. Toestablish a PERT Cost, one first develops aframework for gathering cost data for each activity.Using the Optimum Time- Cost Estimate Conceptof Resource Allocation Supplement method of CostEstimation, one can find the minimum cost forspecific completion dates. The system in this papergives the expected duration, critical path, probability and time-cost estimates of the wholeproject using the application of BridgeConstruction.
