RC5 and RC6 block ciphers are standardcryptographic Encryption Algorithm for Digital Images. RC5and RC6 block cipher can be considered to be a real-timesecure symmetric encryption for digital images. Experiments aremade to test the security of RC5 and RC6 block ciphers fordigital images against all types of security attacks. Experimentsand results verify and prove that RC5 and RC6 block cipher ishighly secure for real-time image encryption from cryptographicviewpoint. RC5 and RC6 block cipher is investigated among itsseveral design parameters such as word size, number of roundsand secret key length and the optimal choices for the best valuesof such design parameters are given. Encryption is the mosttrusted practical security technique fir digital data in computerand communication systems.
