<dc:description>This research deals with the determination of manganese in some used imported dry cells. In this work, Panasonic, Eveready and W&S BATT brands were selected. The samples were used with a bulb (2.5 volt). The used time of samples was 21.05 hr, 28.95 hr and 17.03 hr respectively. The used samples were studied by Neutron Activation Analysis (NAA) technique employing Am (Be) source. The half-life of irradiated samples agreed with the literature. In addition, the samples were investigated by Energy Dispersive X-ray Fluorescence spectrometry (ED-XRF). The relative abundance of manganese in samples was present in high content. For the quantitative determination, the samples were determined by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometry (AAS). The contents of manganese were (43.01 %) in Panasonic, (40.95 %) in Eveready and (34.19 %) in W&S BATT.</dc:description>
