<dc:description>Software quality metric for PHP is scarce inliterature. This paper presents a technical andresearch overview of software quality assessmentespecially for software complexity to establish asoftware quality observatory for PHP language sincePHP is one of the most popular languages that millionsof websites and web applications are developed everymonth using PHP. Complexity is one important qualityfor software source codes. In this paper, softwaremetric related to code complexity is investigated and asuitable set of metric is identified for the given system. Here, we present motivating examples, tool andtechniques that can be used to evaluate the quality ofsource code. We have carried out an empirical studyand tried to find out the nature of relationship betweenthe metric and other well-known metric. In otherwords, it has been investigated whether complexityfeatures may have positively or negatively on the codemaintainability effort.</dc:description>
