<dc:title>Live Migration Decision based on Integrated Server-Storage Virtualization</dc:title>
          <dc:creator>Myint, Khin Swe Swe</dc:creator>
<dc:description>Virtualization can provide significant benefitsin data centers by eliminating overload nodes. An increasing workload can be handled byallocating the resources to a virtual server andstorage, if idle resources are available on thephysical servers, or by simply migration of thevirtual machine (VM) to a less loaded physicalserver. In case of migration, which VM migrateto which server is important for resourceutilization. There are many considerations;application-level statistics (such as request rate, service time and response time) and physicalresources in host (such as memory, CPU, I/Obandwidth, network bandwidth) and storagenode (such as space capacity and I/O capacity). This paper proposes a VM migration decisionapplying G/G/1 queuing theory. It reduces theoverhead in changing data center acrossmultiple resource layers-server and storagenodes. Finally, we will measure how muchefficient on open source Xen virtualizedinfrastructure as an ongoing work.</dc:description>
