Proactive Software Rejuvenation Solution for Software Fault Tolerance System Lwin, Khin Moh Moh Software failures are now known to be adominant source of system outages. The cost ofunplanned outages is higher than the cost ofplanned outages. Software systems oftenexperience aging related defects which causeunexpected outages and affecting its availability.A system should have the capability enough totolerate the faults and operate continuously inspite of faults and interruptions. A proactive faultmanagement method to deal with the softwareaging phenomenon is software rejuvenation.
