<dc:description>Software maintainability prediction enablesorganizations to predict the maintainability ofthe software systems and can then help inreducing the maintenance effort and thus, reducing the overall cost and time spent on asoftware project. Besides, measuring structuraldesign properties of a software system, such ascoupling, cohesion, or complexity, is a promisingapproach towards early quality assessments. Touse such measurement effectively, quality modelsare needed that quantitatively describe how theseinternal structural properties relate to relevantexternal system qualities such as reliability ormaintainability. In this paper, although theframework of design prediction approach isproposed which consists of two main phases, weonly focus on a set of object-oriented designmetrics that can be used to evaluate andcorrelate object- oriented design maintainability.</dc:description>
