Three Graphical Tests for Quality Analysis of Pseudorandom Numbers Nyo, Aye Myat Many cryptographic protocols requirerandom or pseudorandom inputs at variouspoints (e.g., for generating digital signatures, orin some authentication protocols).Pseudorandom numbers are critical part ofmodern computing and they are produced fromPRNGs (pseudorandom number generators). Thestrength of many cryptosystems relies on thequality of pseudorandom number generated byPRNG. As pseudorandom number plays animportant role in cryptography, many statisticaltests for analyzing the quality of pseudorandomsequence generated by PRNGs have beendeveloped. To analysis the quality of PRNGs’output key-stream, three graphical tests: (i)Groups Comparison Test (ii) Longest Runs of AllTest and (iii) Forward Appearance Test areproposed in this paper.
