Classification of Myanmar Ethnic Traditional Style Based Music Signals Myint, May Thu The large quantities of information in bothaudio and video is a great need for efficient ways ofsearching and retrieving relevant information. Thegoal of an audio indexing is to provide the capability ofsearching and browsing through audio content. Thiswork presents an effort to discriminate Myanmarethnic traditional style music based on the largenumber of audio features(timbre, rhythm, pitch) areevaluated for their suitability in such a classificationtask, including well-known physical and perceptualfeatures, audio descriptors. For this purpose, we usethe Multi Band Autocorrelation Peak (MBAP) features,extracted in multiple bands providing complementaryinformation and give a better description of the audiosignal and then use the classifier based on Trainingand Testing audio data to get class labels .The systemhave selected more popular cultural music styles ofMyanmar ethnic music namely: Kachin, Kayin, Shanand Yakhine ethnic group songs for experiments. 2015-02-05 http://hdl.handle.net/20.500.12678/0000004412 https://meral.edu.mm/records/4412
