Transcribing Chinese into Myanmar (Burmese) Script Ding, Chen Chen Thu, Ye Kyaw Sumita, Eiichiro Sagisaka, Yoshinori We propose a transcription system for Chineseinto Burmese script. We design the system based on thephonology of Chinese and the orthography of Myanmar, referring other established Chinese transcriptionsystems, i.e. the Pinyin system and the Palladius system.The Pinyin system transcribes Chinese into the Latinalphabet and the Palladius system transcribes Chineseinto the Cyrillic alphabet. Our aim is to provide a system transcribing Chinese into the Burmese script.
