Database Migration based on Trickle Migrations Approach Nyeint, Khin Aye Soe, Khin Mar The banking industry has undergone a majorchange in recent years. Global competition hasforced the industry to be more agile and customerfocused in all its services. Banks can no longerfunction in isolation, but have to operate cuttingacross physical boundaries. Scalability,maintainability, and security are the upcomingchallenges for the banking industry. In addition tothe risks associated with replacement, there are alsoseveral risks banks face if they decide to postpone acore system replacement. Those banks continuing torun antiquated systems are often challenged byinefficiency. This paper is proposed to addresses theproblem of database migration used in legacybanking system by using Trickle MigrationsApproach.
