Public Transportation System for Yangon Region Zar, Myat Thu Sein, Myint Myint Building public route transportation system isthe key technology for urban areas. Most of citizens inYangon area make use of public transportation such asbus, taxi, rail and so on. In this system, A* algorithm isused to find the bus route information in Yangondowntown area. Bus routes, bus information, bus stopsand their related position, latitude/longitude and roadnames are stored in spatial database. When the userswant to know the bus route information, firstly theygive their current location and desired destination tothe system and then the related bus routes are retrievedfrom database. After getting the bus routes, A*algorithm is used to calculate the optimal path.Finally, all of the possible routes are display on themap.
