Web Search Engine for Myanmar Language Thein, Yadana Khine, Su Mon Web search engines play an important role forinformation retrieval on World Wide Web. There aremany search engines according to their languages, butvery few research areas for Myanmar Language.Search engine that can handle the typicalcharacteristics of Myanmar Language is needed. Theproposed Myanmar search engine contains thecrawler, indexer, and query processor components. Incrawling, proposed new rule based syllable languageidentification is used to determine the relevancy ofMyanmar Web pages. There are two new methods ascontributed in indexing. Proposed new Myanmargrammar based word segmentation and proposed newMyanmar word Sorting are used in indexing structureto provide the most relevant documents to the users inleast possible time.
