<dc:description>In this paper, we present a translation modelof Myanmar phrases for statistical machinetranslation. Phrase based SMT models havelimitations in mapping from the source to targetlanguage without using linguistic information.Morphological analysis is needed especially formorphology rich language and small amount oftraining data are available. Myanmar languageis inflected language and we have very modestparallel resources for machine translation. Therefore, we present Myanmar languagemorphology analysis in noun and verb phrases.Especially analysis is performing on numbercategory of noun phrase, suffixes and tenseparticle of verb phrases. We test our system onMyanmar-English bilingual corpus. Theexperiment results show that the quality ofstatistical machine translation is improved byapplying morphology analysis of Myanmarlanguage.</dc:description>
