Most companies do datamigration to update their systems. Data migration isthe process of moving data from one location toanother, one format to another, or one application toanother. Generally, this is the result of introducing anew system or location for the data. The businessdriver is usually an application migration orconsolidation in which legacy systems are replaced oraugmented by new applications that will share thesame dataset.
