Myanmar Portable Document Format Recognition with Formatting Maung, Cherry Thein, Yadana This paper contributes Myanmar PrintedCharacter Recognition with format. This systemconsist recognition and formatting. It recognizes forMyanmar Portable Document Format (.pdf) such asfont size, font style, alignment and table. It convertsthe existing document to Machine Editable WordDocument (.doc). It contains paragraph and tableclassification. In table classification, tablerecognition and formatting can also be performed.The extraction of text format, paragraph format andtable format can be done efficiently. The system isbased on MICR (Myanmar Intelligent CharacterRecognition) which is a kind of ICR (IntelligentCharacter Recognition). MICR uses statistical andsemantic information which includes width andheight ratio, black stroke counts, number of loops,open directions and histogram value, etc. The finaldecision is made by the voting system.
